The result shows whether or not you have antibodies (IgG) to the coronavirus.
The test can also provide a response that indicates “reactive antibodies”. This means that it isn’t possible to determine whether the antibodies are positive or negative against the virus. In this case, we recommend that you take another test after two weeks.
Because covid-19 is a new disease, we still know very little about how strong and durable the immunity is. Follow the recommendations of the Public Health Agency even if you get a positive result. The recommendations may change as we learn more about the disease and how to interpret the results of having antibodies.
