You will receive the results in the app usually within one week, but it can take up to 10 days. You will also have the opportunity to book a follow-up meeting, if you would like.

You can get tested in any of these Swedish towns and cities:

  • Stockholm

  • Eskilstuna
  • Norrköping

There are multiple testing centres in each city. We will try to book an appointment as close to you as possible, but sometimes the testing sites are full and we therefore choose another testing site. The type of test we use is called a serology test, and it is able to detect antibodies produced against the coronavirus. The test is analyzed in a lab using the ELISA method, and is not a rapid test that can be done at home.

We are currently working together with different labs in various cities. All tests we use are CE-marked and measure the amount of IgG antibodies in your blood. Kry’s partner labs meet all the Public Health Authority’s quality assurance requirements.

Unilabs: uses Abbott’s platform.
Synlab: uses Abbott’s platform.
Karolinska University Lab: uses Roche platform.

The test uses a sample of blood taken from your arm. This is called a venous blood test.

If you have not had any symptoms at all, the probability that you would have been exposed to the virus is low. To increase the reliability of the answer, wait at least 14 days after becoming symptom-free before taking the test.

Individuals 18 years and older can get tested via Kry in the region of Sörmland. In all the other regions can individuals over 16 years get tested through Kry.

Our tests have over a 99 percent specificity and over a 98 percent sensitivity. The accuracy of the test depends on the amount of time between your first symptom and the day you took your test. This is why it is important to wait at least three weeks from the day you had your first symptom to the day you get tested. Find more information about each respective test below:

Synlab – Abbots plattform

The tests use a method called ELISA, which is the most accurate testing method on the market right now.

You may have to retake the test if the results come back negative, yet you have had very typical covid-19 symptoms.

The results show whether or not your body has produced IgG antibodies against coronavirus.

A positive result means that you have a lower risk of spreading the disease to other people and therefore are able to interact with friends and family, as long as you continue to follow the general recommendations from The Public Health Agency. You can read more here.

These recommendations will however change over time as we learn more about the disease and how we ought to interpret antibody results.

Kry’s medical advice comes solely from The Public Health Agency’s general recommendations. Those include:

  • If you are 70 years or older, you should limit the number of people you meet up with.
  • If you have had symptoms, even mild ones, stay at home.
  • Wash your hands frequently and thoroughly.
  • Keep a distance.

If you have antibodies, it is now allowed to meet people who belong to a risk group.

Once you have received a test result, you have the opportunity to book a follow-up appointment in order to ask any questions you may have. If you have any other questions about our test, you are more than welcome to call our support at 08-22 77 07.

We are unable to provide certificates for antibodies as of now.

But we can issue PCR testing for travel certificates at our mini-clinic in Stockholm. Read more about the travel certificates and pricing here. The travel certificate shows that you do not currently have an infection of covid-19 and is required upon entry to most countries.

Yes, the test is CE-marked.
