Vaccination against covid-19 in Västra Götaland

On behalf of the Västra Götaland region, we vaccinate against covid-19 in phase 4. Here you will find information about who is vaccinated right now and how to book a time.

On July 1, the covid certificate was launched which means you can download your vaccination certificate. Click here to collect your vaccination certificate (In Swedish).

Book a time for vaccination

People who are 18 years or older can be vaccinated against Covid-19 at five new vaccination units in, Gothenburg (Chalmers Conference Center, Lindholmen Science Park and Angered Centrum), Borås and Trollhättan.

If you are over 18 years old and belong to a risk group you can also book an appointment for vaccination.

You should not be vaccinated if you have had confirmed covid-19 in the last 30 days. This is a recommendation from the Västra Götaland region.

How it works

1. Identify with BankID
Log in to our app or on our website and fill in a health declaration.
2. Book a time for your vaccination
Choose a time. You will get a confirmation as an inbox message in the app or via text.
3. Get vaccinated
Get vaccinated at the vaccination unit. When you have received dose 1, you can book a time for dose 2 via our app.

Need help with your booking?

If you do not have a BankID or do not have the technical ability to book in the app, you can call 010-150 78 00 and book an appointment. This also applies to you with protected identity or if you do not have a Swedish personal identity number.

Need to cancel your booking?

You can change or cancel your booking in the app. Try to cancel as soon as possible if you cannot make it, so that someone else can get vaccinated.

Please note that you cannot reschedule / change time for dose 2. Our support and cannot help with this either. If you are preventet to make it to your booking, cancel your time in the app and then book a new time in our app. We can not guarantee that there are free times if you choose to cancel your time.

Children under 18

Everyone under the age of 18 will be vaccinated with Pfizer. The purpose of vaccinating from the age of 16 is primarily to protect young people against the disease, but also to further reduce the spread of infection in society. One legal guardian can accompany their child to the vaccination unit if they wish.

Join the waiting list (18+)

To minimize the risk of vaccine doses being wasted, you can now sign up for our waiting list. We will contact you if a vaccination slot becomes available.

  • The waiting list is for dose 1 and dose 2.
  • At least 7 weeks must have passed since your first dose before you sign up for the waiting list (for dose 2).
  • You must be 18 years or older to sign up.
  • We prioritize according to age and will contact the oldest first.
  • Be prepared to come to the unit at short notice (within 15 minutes).
  • We will contact those who have signed up in the same day and certified that they can get to the vaccination unit quickly.
  • You can sign up every day until you have been contacted.

If you are offered a vaccine, we will call you at the telephone number you provide. It is important that you can get to the unit at short notice, preferably within 15 minutes.

How to book dose 2

Make sure to book dose 2 as soon as possible after taking dose 1 to ensure you have an appointment.

  • You can book dose 2 in our app shortly after you have taken dose 1.
  • Book an appointment for dose 2 at the earliest 7 weeks after you have taken dose 1.
  • You must book dose 2 at the same vaccination unit as you took dose 1.
  • If you cancel you booking for dose 2, we can not guarantee that there will be a free slot after seven weeks.

It is important that you bring the vaccination card you where given after dose 1, when you receive dose 2.

Time between dose 1 and dose 2

How long it will take between dose 1 and dose 2 depends on which vaccine you have received and which group you belong to.

  • Pfizer / BioNTech

Given 7 weeks after the first dose.

  • Moderna

Given 7 weeks after the first dose.

  • Astra Zeneca

Born 1956 or earlier: Given 9-12 weeks after the first dose.
Born 1957 or later: If you have received the first dose of Astra Zeneca, it is recommended that you vaccinate with another vaccine after 12-15 weeks. If you want to continue with Astra Zeneca, the second dose is given 9-12 weeks after the first dose.

Who is included in phase 4?

  • Adults aged 18 to 59 who have not been vaccinated in previous phases. The oldest will be prioritized first.

How much does it cost to get vaccinated?

It is free of charge to get vaccinated against Covid-19.
